Awareness meetings were organized (1 in Nairobi and 4 in Kiambu, Nyeri and Muranga counties) to inform communities on cancer prevalence and the importance of early diagnosis. While announcements were made in churches, the members made sure that they invited their neighbours who were not members of their churches. Question and answer sessions were held including consultation with individuals. We were able to reach 1070 people outside Nairobi and another 350 in Nairobi
